Key Responsibilities

Bearing Assembly & Roll Preparation
-
Assemble and disassemble work rolls, backup rolls, chocks and bearing assemblies in accordance with approved procedures and production requirements.

Install, align and prepare bearing assemblies and rolls for rolling mill operations.

Operate approved equipment used for bearing mounting, dismounting and roll preparation activities.

Perform shot blasting and preparation of rolls in accordance with established work instructions.

Inspection, Maintenance & Equipment Care

Inspect bearings, chocks, seals and associated components and identify wear, damage or abnormalities requiring attention.

Clean, lubricate and replace worn or defective components in accordance with maintenance requirements.
