Merck & Co. (MSD) is seeking an Associate Principal Scientist to join its Discovery Immunology team in San Diego, California. This role serves as Biology Lead on early-stage immunology programs, driving strategies and technologies for target validation and next-generation therapeutics across Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, and Dermatology.
Responsibilities include defining and driving drug discovery immunology project strategies, leading and participating in cross-functional teams from early discovery through to clinic, independently designing and executing complex in vitro and ex vivo studies, identifying and implementing new technologies, and mentoring less experienced scientists.
