About the Role The Hershey Company is seeking a Controls Engineering Co-Op in Hershey, PA. The role offers three consecutive rotations within the Controls Engineering department, aligned with the student’s availability, with an anticipated start Fall 2026. What You'll Do
- Under the guidance of the controls engineer, participate in project work including electrical design, equipment/instrument installation, equipment/instrument checkout, project startups and maintenance troubleshooting and support.
- Work on your own assigned intern project, which may involve developing electrical elementary drawings, writing PLC programs, and HMI screen development.
- Observe existing plant processes, make recommendations, set up test designs, and collaborate with plant operators and supervisors to troubleshoot existing systems.
- Research new technologies to implement in production environments.
