About the Role Advanced Practice Provider (APN/PA) in the Neurosciences Department will work under the direction of collaborating physicians to deliver care to neurohospitalist/stroke patients in clinic and hospital settings. The role involves comprehensive assessments, orders and interpretation of tests, patient education, and collaboration with the care team to achieve optimal outcomes. What You'll Do
- Provide care under supervision of collaborating physicians in clinic and hospital settings
- Obtain detailed history and perform physical examinations
- Order imaging, lab tests, and diagnostic procedures; interpret results
- Instruct patients on prescribed therapies and pre/post operative instructions
- Maintain records and write progress notes on treatments and procedures
- Follow patients through their course of treatment in both clinic and hospital
