About the Role The Work Study - Tool and Die Lab Assistant supports the Ankeny campus machining lab by helping instructors prepare the lab space, maintain equipment, and assist students during lab sessions. The position is designed for students to work around class schedules while contributing to the college and the community.
What You'll Do
- Assist instructors in preparing the lab environment for daily classes, including setting up materials, tools, and equipment.
- Help maintain and clean lab machines, tools, and workspaces to support a safe and orderly environment.
- Monitor inventory of tools, materials, and consumables; assist in organizing and restocking as needed.
- Support students during lab sessions by answering basic questions and helping locate tools and resources.
