About the Role Join the Union Pacific Engineering team as a Work Equipment Mechanic responsible for the upkeep, restoration, and repair of tools, equipment, and machinery. You will help ensure safe and efficient operation of assets across North America, with certification as a Union Pacific driver during probation and compliance with FMCSA medical requirements. What You'll Do
- Inspect and maintain tools, roadway machines, vehicles, and equipment.
- Conduct maintenance and repairs, troubleshoot malfunctions.
- Organize and track information, and coordinate the work of team members.
- Communicate effectively with others orally and in writing, and utilize print and digital information.
- Adhere to company and industry safety rules, practices, and procedures.
- Foster positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, contractors, and customers, and handle conflicts effectively.
