About the Role The City of Denton is seeking a Water Reclamation Operator III to monitor and maintain the wastewater treatment plant, ensuring safe, efficient operations and regulatory compliance. This role requires a solid mechanical/equipment background and the ability to perform lab tests and respond to after-hours emergencies. What You'll Do
- Monitor plant operations via SCADA, instrumentation, and lab results; interpret data to maintain proper treatment processes and perform process control adjustments as needed.
- Perform various lab tests and learn to interpret results to support plant function.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment; inspect lubrication and filtration systems and address issues.
- troubleshoot equipment problems using historical trends, data, and lab results; communicate issues and coordinate repairs.
