About the Role
SEIU Healthcare Pennsylvania is seeking full-time Organizers to join our new organizing team to unite healthcare workers into our statewide healthcare union and win a more just healthcare system with good jobs for workers. Organizers may live anywhere in Pennsylvania and campaigns could be statewide; travel may be required.
What You'll Do
- Identify, recruit, and train workers to become effective leaders.
- Plan and facilitate meetings, rallies, direct actions, and other ways for workers to exercise their collective power.
- Track and assess organization-building metrics.
- Develop a basic understanding of labor law and regulations affecting union organizing.
- Campaign creatively around healthcare problems and public policy issues affecting workers.
- Create relationships with issue stakeholders and workers’ allies to advance our shared agenda.
