About the Role Reporting to the Transportation Manager the transportation planner is responsible for arranging and procuring transportation of all inbound, outbound, direct and stock transfer orders. - Manages a portfolio of carriers to arrange the transportation of all inbound, outbound, direct, or stock transfer orders.
- Responsible for safe, efficient, legal & economical operation of all transportation activities.
- Responsible for meeting customer delivery requirements in a cost-effective manner.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (vendors, carriers) to communicate requirements.
- Use and maintain SAP Transportation Management System (TMS) to optimize common carrier, dedicated fleet and private fleet freight orders.
