About the Role Tractor Technician II will perform intermediate-level maintenance, service, and repair of J.B. Hunt tractors and equipment under routine supervision. The role may require outdoor work, exposure to the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and weekends, with full-time attendance.
What You'll Do
- Demonstrate proficient technical knowledge of preventative maintenance, replacement of parts/components, and more difficult repairs as it pertains to tractor maintenance including but not limited to the fuel system, battery, engine, drive train, onboard computer, transmission, air brake systems, and FHWA inspections
- May assist with the onboarding and mentoring of new Tractor Technician trainees
- Participate in Original Equipment Manufacturer training for OE repairs
