Job Description
- Extensive mold repair and maintenance, routine preventative maintenance on injection molds that requires full disassembly and assembly.
- Strong trouble shooting skills.
- Responsibilities include production support as well as job assignment in the shop.
- Basic machining skills required on lathes, mills, and grinders.
- Studies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate metal parts
- Computes dimensions, plans layout, and determines assembly method and sequence of operations.
- Measures, marks, and scribes metal stock for machining.
- Knowledge of lifting and rigging techniques for dies and machined parts with overhead cranes.
- Ability to verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances.
- Heat treats metal tools or parts.
