About this role
About the Role The Test Technician will support testing of raw materials, manufactured products, and manufacturing processes at Curtiss-Wright's Lansing, NY site. You will operate and calibrate mechanical testing equipment, assist with testing programs, and contribute to client-ready documentation. What You'll Do
- Prepare and condition nonmetallic samples for mechanical testing.
- Operate mechanical testing equipment such as universal testing machines, DMA analyzers, and hardness testers.
- Perform routine and specialized tests including: Tensile and elongation testing, Hardness testing (Shore, Rockwell), Compression testing, and Shear and flexural testing.
- Record and analyze test data accurately using lab software and spreadsheets.
- Maintain a clean and organized lab environment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Calibrate and troubleshoot testing equipment as needed.
