The operator plays a vital role in hospital communication by processing emergency notifications, overhead paging, and urgent alerts in accordance with established protocols. This position supports patient care and hospital operations by providing on call information, patient information, and directory assistance. The operator also monitors fire alarms, weather conditions, and other safety indicators to initiate timely notifications to staff.
