Rutgers University Correctional Health Care is seeking a Part Time Technician I for South Woods State Prison in Bridgeton, NJ. The Technician I is a member of the clinical and administrative medical team within the Prison Health Service Unit, contributing to patient care and the efficient operation of the health unit.
What You'll Do
- Takes vital signs, height and weight and documents in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Assists the physician/advanced practitioner with procedures, including preparing inmates for examinations.
- Obtains specimen collection and handling, including drawing blood.
- Assists with the cleaning, sterilization and securing of equipment within the Health Service Unit.
- Maintains or assists in maintaining the supply stock in the Health Service Unit by ordering in a timely and appropriate manner.
