Job title: Teaching Assistant
About the Role Teaching Assistant within the SEN team to provide support for pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher and SENCo to ensure that children access the curriculum and make progress in their emotional development and academic learning. The role may involve supervising children over the lunchtime period.
What You'll Do
- Support pupils with EHCPs in accessing the curriculum and making progress in learning and emotional development.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCo to plan and deliver targeted support.
- Help maintain high standards by being calm, caring and consistent, and support positive behaviour.
- Assist with lunchtime supervision if required.
- Contribute to safeguarding and safe recruitment practices as part of the school.
