About the Role
As a Substitute School Bus Driver for the Nestucca Valley School District, you will operate a school bus on assigned routes to transport students to and from school in a safe and timely manner. You will work under the supervision of a Transportation Coordinator and adhere to state laws, district policies, and safety procedures to ensure student welfare.
What You'll Do
- Drive a school bus on assigned routes, observing traffic laws and district rules; load and unload students at designated stops on an established schedule.
- Perform pre-trip vehicle checks, report mechanical issues, and record fuel, oil and mileage readings.
- Maintain discipline and safety on the bus and communicate with school staff as needed.
- Keep the bus clean inside and out and participate in required training and in-services.
