About the Role Summer research internship at LIU Post in the LCVM Research and Graduate Program. The role supports cancer biology research with a focus on canine urothelial cancer, involving biochemical and molecular biology techniques and on-campus lab work.
What You'll Do
- Learn and perform biochemical and molecular biology techniques related to cancer biology.
- Grow and maintain canine urothelial cancer (UC) cells, perform cell maintenance, and isolate protein for detection of biomarkers in dogs.
- Perform immunohistochemistry staining using clinical samples of canine UC to detect expression of cancer biomarkers in tissues, such as from Scottish Terriers.
What We're Looking For
- LIU student enrolled in an active degree program.
- Eligible for Federal Work-Study (Yes).
