About the Role The Strategic Sourcing Category Manager is a strategic business partner responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies in the External Resource (Labor) category, driving value for Amex GBT across the enterprise. This role collaborates with VRMs, legal, risk, privacy, technology, and other functions to ensure a compliant, high-performing vendor program while delivering measurable savings and sustainability outcomes. What You'll Do
- Own the External Resource (Labor) category strategy, establishing standardized processes, governance frameworks, and best practices across the enterprise.
- Demonstrate thought leadership through executive-level communication on category performance, opportunities, and vendor metrics.
- Partner with business functions to align requirements, budgets, and strategic priorities, translating needs into actionable sourcing strategies.
