About the Role Weir Minerals Netherlands in Venlo offers a stage or BBL-trajectory in metalworking, focusing on CNC turning, milling and assembly of large custom machines. You will join the Machineshop and assembly team, working with experienced colleagues to learn CNC techniques and contribute to building large machines from drawings. What You'll Do
- Learn and perform metal cutting operations and other machining tasks under supervision, including CNC turning, milling and workpiece setup.
- Read and understand technical drawings and work instructions.
- Clamp and set up workpieces, adjust machines and parameters (speed, feed).
- Inspect finished parts with measuring instruments and ensure quality and accuracy.
- Assist with small CNC program adjustments and suggest process improvements.
- Collaborate with experienced colleagues to learn best practices and safety. What We're Looking For
