About the Role The Speech-Language Pathologist is an independent health care professional who provides individualized patient care that assesses and treats speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, voice, fluency and swallowing disorders in children and adults per physician referral. The role includes evaluating referred patients, establishing patient- and family-centered goals, and developing and executing treatment plans to promote or maximize independence in the discharge setting. The SLP may participate in performance improvement and educational opportunities to advance the department and profession. What You'll Do
- Provide therapy to patients based on patient need and medical direction.
- Assess and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders in children and adults.
