About the Role Senior Underwriter to partner with loan origination staff in the creation of high quality, insurable mortgage loans. The Senior Underwriter will evaluate collateral and credit packages for mortgage loans covering all levels of complexity, including manually underwritten files. The ability to make, support and explain, verbally and in writing, sound credit decisions is essential to the position. What You'll Do
- Underwrite loans and support originators, including data entry and documentation as needed.
- Evaluate collateral and credit packages for loans of varying complexity, including manually underwritten files.
- Communicate credit decisions clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Review loan files for compliance and accuracy, including FHA/VA/FNMA/FHLMC/USDA/Non-QM products and condo reviews. What We're Looking For
