About the Role Borrowing is a key growth engine for Monzo. We’re seeking a senior ML Leader to shape the next phase of underwriting across UK growth, new segments, and EU expansion. You’ll lead a high-calibre ML team and drive the ML roadmap for borrowing, spanning underwriting, pricing, limits, and lifecycle decisioning, partnering with Credit Strategy, Product, Engineering, Model Validation, Data, and Platform. What You'll Do
- Define and drive Borrowing ML roadmaps across UK optimization, new customer segments, and EU expansion.
- Lead and develop a high-performing ML team; hire, coach, and empower scientists.
- Accelerate model improvement through new data and feature engineering; ship production-ready capabilities.
- Build more portable underwriting capabilities across products, customer segments, and markets.
