About the Role As a Senior Data Engineer on the Helios Data Engineering team at Caterpillar, you will develop Python data pipelines that build business data objects to support applications and analytics. This role is based on-site at Caterpillar locations such as Peoria, IL and Chicago, IL. What You'll Do
- Responsibilities of the incumbents are across functional lines with individuals assigned in new program development.
- Performs all programming, project management, and development assignments without close supervision; normally assigned the more complex aspects of systems work.
- Works directly on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution.
- Interpreting design requirements for engineering implementation.
- Building and deploying CI/CD pipelines.
- Implementing source to target mapping as pipeline code.
- Performs Unit and Integration testing.
