The Opportunity
The Buyer is a developing professional who procures goods and services at the optimal cost, quality, and delivery. This role builds upon foundational knowledge to manage purchase orders, negotiate with suppliers on tactical buys, and resolve supply issues. Working with general supervision, the Buyer is responsible for ensuring a reliable flow of materials to support business operations.
What You Will Do
Contributes to cost-effective procurement by issuing requests for quotation (RFQs), analyzing supplier bids, and placing purchase orders. Delivers an effective supply plan by managing POs, monitoring supplier performance, and taking action to mitigate supply risks. Enhances team success by working collaboratively with planners, engineers, and other departments to ensure material availability.
