About the Role The Security Officer provides for the safety and security of McMurry University students, faculty, staff, visitors, and property. This role ensures a safe campus environment by conducting patrols, responding to emergencies, enforcing campus regulations, and supporting the university community with professionalism and integrity.
What You'll Do
- Patrol University premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or actions needing police.
