About the Role Scientist – Tribology modeling (leadership role) to initiate and advance tribological modeling efforts that underpin SKF’s Technology Strategy. You will lead model development, collaborate across disciplines, and mentor less senior colleagues within the Tribology & Life team. What You'll Do
- Develop and validate tribological models describing surface failure modes considering contact conditions, materials, topography, and lubrication.
- Develop models for predictive and prognostic tools for bearing life.
- Contribute to the development of next-generation bearing life models.
- Act as a bridge between Tribology and other competence areas (steels, coatings, lubrication, …).
- Transfer knowledge towards less senior colleagues.
- Initiate and coordinate Research and Technology Development Projects.
