About this role
What You Will Do:
- We are seeking a Scientist to develop, optimize, and conduct microdissections of human blood vessels from tissue specimens as part of the Institutional Review Board (IRB)-approved or IRB exempt studies and overall laboratory research support for Laboratory of Malaria and Vector Research (LMVR).
- This is a full-time, on-site role in Rockville, MD.
- Conduct microdissections of human vessels, prepare tissue for single-cell analysis of vascular cells, genetically manipulate human vessels, and assess function through molecular, imaging, and physiologic evaluations.
- Culture vascular cells, prepare cells for single-cell analysis, perform genetic manipulation of cultured cells, and assess function using molecular, imaging, and physiologic evaluations.
