The Revenue Cycle Supervisor (Accounts Receivable) oversees a unit responsible for working and collecting unpaid professional medical claims from government and third-party payers. The role ensures performance, work quality, efficiency, and compliance with policies and regulations.
What You'll Do
- Manage day-to-day operations of the AR unit and organize staff to follow operating protocols to maximize efficiency.
- Monitor work queues, conduct routine quality audits, and develop procedures to optimize AR performance and collections.
- Escalate and resolve complex or higher-difficulty calls with AR Follow-up Specialists; work with payers to address denials and changes in the payor environment.
- Maintain knowledge of billing across governmental and non-government payer environments; review charges, collections, adjustments, and denial trends with management.
