Job title: Research Specialist A
The Research Specialist A is an integral member of a molecular biology laboratory focused on the mechanisms of kidney disease development, including the laboratory's ex vivo perfused human kidney (ProKidney) project. The position is primarily responsible for collecting, organizing, and processing human kidney tissue samples; microdissecting tissue; isolating RNA and DNA; performing quantitative and genotyping PCR; and preparing histological slides. The specialist also compiles and documents research results, assists with data interpretation, and supports the day-to-day research activities of the laboratory.
Position contingent upon funding.
