CIRAD is recruiting a Research Scientist in Remote Sensing to support research on agricultural transitions and sustainable food systems across the Global South, applying earth observation, satellite data and AI to climate-resilient agriculture and food-system sustainability.
Position details:
- Location: Montpellier, France
- Contract: Permanent
- Start date: September 1, 2026
- Salary: From approximately €37,000 per year

Requirements
- PhD in space-based remote sensing applied to socio-agroecosystems
- At least 4 years’ post-PhD professional experience
- Expertise in remote sensing, agriculture, geography or related fields
- Experience with satellite image time series
- Knowledge of QGIS, OTB, R, Python and geospatial data tools
- Strong scientific English and interdisciplinary research experience
