About the Role The Registration Representative is responsible for the accurate check-in/admissions/registration of incoming patients in the hospital or ED setting. This includes in-person, phone, or virtual registrations, verification of patient demographics, collection of insurance data, account creation, obtaining signatures, and providing required forms or letters. The role also involves acting as an ambassador, assisting patients with self-registration, and collecting indicated co-payments. The Registration Representative ensures patient safety using positive patient identification protocols and obtains the necessary consents. May assist patients with hospital presumptive eligibility or Medicaid applications. The position is primarily based at La Crosse with occasional coverage at Sparta as determined by scheduling needs.
