About the Role QC Utility supports Hydro Extrusions' Quality Lab in North Liberty, IN by preparing and testing samples from presses, inspecting extruded products, and maintaining CNC equipment. This role provides hands-on quality control support to ensure products meet specifications.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and cut samples; retrieve samples from large and small presses for testing
- Cut samples into dog bones for the Zwick testing machine
- Conduct on-floor inspections of extruded products and verify product hardness
- Inspect defective materials returned from customers
- Maintain the CNC (add cooling agent and daily cleaning)
- Approve finished products by testing against specifications and returning for re-work when needed
- Use measuring devices: meters, gauges, calipers, and computers to verify products
