About the Role The Purchasing Manager will lead and support a team of Buyers in Mexicali to meet procurement goals, drive cost savings, and continuously improve purchasing operations. This role partners with operations and leadership to optimize spend, ensure compliance, and support supply continuity. What You'll Do
- Lead the team of Buyers (8-10) in Mexicali
- Set performance goals for the Buyers and establish action plans to meet them
- Manage the regional Buyer team including coaching, training, resource allocation, PTO, HR systems maintenance
- Serve as the first point of escalation for expediting critical shortages for Operations
- Lead lean, cost savings and continuous improvement projects related to purchasing, space optimization, and inbound freight costs as required
- Recommend ideas to improve team effectiveness and efficiency to the Director, Americas Purchasing
