Purchasing Manager
About the position This role oversees branch inventory and supply planning, driving performance, managing supplier relationships, and leading a team to support overall business goals.
What you’ll do
- Establishes, tracks and communicates branch targets related to inventory and service performance
- Manages, develops, mentors and trains purchasing personnel including a team of Supply Planners, Forecaster and Inventory Coordinator
- Works proactively with purchasing and sales teams to monitor and reduce underperforming inventory
- Assesses purchasing options and completes purchase approvals
- Establishes goals and strategies for improved forecast performance for the branch and works directly with the Forecaster and Sales team to review performance and opportunities for improvement
