About this role
As an Prototype Technician Apprentice, you’ll be part of our Prototype Manufacturing team working as an on-site employee at our Valley City, Ohio facility. You’ll get to:
Assist Prototype Technicians in the prototype development of new and existing outdoor power equipment. Utilize standard machine shop equipment, welding, and sheet metal fabrication equipment to prototype parts. Operate mills, CNC controls, lathes, and metal equipment for engineering groups with prototype design projects. Fabricate sheet metal parts using press brakes to form laser cut blanks. Think creatively to enhance quality improvements, cost reductions, and manufacturing ideas. Use computers and specialized programs for completing projects. Read blueprints and create prototype parts utilizing the correct materials and tools. The Person:
