About the Role This hybrid Project Engineer position focuses on fire alarm control panels, delivering UL safety and compliance services to clients, coordinating testing, and guiding projects from scope to completion in Northbrook, IL. What You'll Do
- Independently determines project scope, preliminary plan, and specifications (cost, time, samples) by analyzing client input, data, and product construction.
- Travel to client sites to conduct or witness tests as needed.
- Communicate with clients to explain UL procedures, discuss project costs, negotiate dates and sample requirements.
- Provide technical assistance on product inspection and follow-up services; establish test programs; coordinate laboratory activities and staff; manage administrative aspects.
- Notify clients of non-compliance or scope changes; coordinate data sheets, instructions to technicians, and completion dates.
