Product Engineer
Job Description The product engineer’s role is to provide expertise to control electrical seating components (i.e., wire harness / heating mat / SBR / terminals and connectors) to comply with Lear and OEM customer specifications. Through regular communication with customers and suppliers the engineer ensures the electrical products are tested and integrated into the complete seat in time to milestones.
Responsibilities
Seat Wiring Harness Development:
- Development of seat wiring harnesses from prototype to serial production
- Alignment with customer requirements and integration into seat systems
- Ensuring compliance with technical and legislative requirements
Prototype & Test Equipment Development:
- Development and assembly of prototype electrical systems (schematics, PCB, basic SW)
- Building and wiring prototype test equipment (hands-on work)
