About the Role The Procurement Specialist acts as a primary point of contact with Honda's HDMA supplier network to secure parts at the best possible cost. This role focuses on service parts (nuts, bolts, clips, fasteners) and supports cost negotiation, supplier visits, and projects to optimize spend. What You'll Do
- Negotiate service parts pricing agreements with suppliers.
- Manage supplier issues and cost changes on all parts, including negotiating costs, identifying economical and viable solutions with suppliers, and exploring alternative suppliers.
- Conduct supplier visits, contract reviews, and projects; support Critical Back Order (CBO) activities.
- Handle tooling and die maintenance costs (tool repair reviews/approvals, new tool purchases).
- Ensure new model parts have firm prices while targeting SP=MP metrics.
