This role operates as Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at a BioLife Plasma Services center, supporting donor eligibility, adverse events, lab result reviews, and donor notification under supervision of Center Manager and Center Physician. What You'll Do
- Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs, including donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, donor safety and eligibility.
