About the Role
As a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse), you will support BioLife Plasma Services center operations, determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and work under the Center Physician for medical issues. The role requires familiarity with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment and center-level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS). What You'll Do
- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reactions as they occur at the facility following SOPs.
