About this role
About the Role The Plant Chemical Operator at Vestolit, an Orbia business, will operate PVC pilot plant reactors and related equipment at the Avon Lake facility to support reaction, recovery, and stripping processes. The role also monitors water, hydraulic, and other utility systems, troubleshoots equipment issues, and participates in safety, maintenance, and documentation activities. What You'll Do
- Operate PVC reactors and associated equipment in a safe, environmentally sound, and efficient manner.
- Monitor, adjust, and record reaction variables such as temperatures, pressures, and agitator rpms.
- Follow SOPs and SPs; proper use of PPE; report near miss incidents.
- Participate in reviews and root cause analysis findings.
- Make up soaps following recipes.
- Write end of shift status reports.
- Work in a team environment; support overtime and vacation coverage.
