About the Role
Rhoads Industries is seeking a Pipe Fitter to prepare and fit pipe spools for welders and install complex piping systems for machinery, equipment, and systems. The role requires reading verbal and written instructions, PI&Ds, and engineered drawings to ensure assemblies meet construction documents and specifications. This on-site position is part of a fast-paced, growing team within our shipyard facilities in Philadelphia. What You'll Do
- Reads and deciphers work scope, engineered drawings, and PI&Ds to determine piping layouts and build methods.
- Interprets bill of material ensuring all assemblies are in alignment with material called out.
- Layout piping runs to targets, assures proper fit up to users and main tie-ins.
- Prepares and fits up pipe spools for welders compliant and in accordance with technical publications, and specifications.
