About the Role The Patient Care Technician (PCT) – Nursing Assistant supports the Med-Surg/Behavioral Health unit at Swedish Hospital in Chicago, providing essential bedside care under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager. This role helps ensure safe, compassionate patient care and supports the nursing team to deliver high-quality outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Provides care to patients on assigned nursing unit under the direction of a Clinical Nurse Manager.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, visitors, and members of the health care team in a respectful manner.
- Uses standard precautions and PPE for all patients and follows special precautions as ordered based on patient pathology.
- Assists with patient hygiene, elimination needs, and ambulation/ROM as needed.
