About the Role The Patient Care Technician will support the Medical Pulmonary Unit on the night shift in Arlington Heights, providing basic patient care under RN/LPN supervision, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and coordinating care as part of a fast-paced inpatient unit. This is a full-time role (36 hours per week) with a night schedule (7:00pm–7:30am) and every-other-weekend rotation. Orientation is required the week of starting, Monday–Thursday from approximately 8:00am–4:30pm. What You'll Do
- Assist patients with personal care needs including bathing, grooming, oral care, eating, use of bedpan or urinal, positioning, answering and responding to patient call lights, bed making, etc. under the supervision of a RN/LPN.
- Assist with exercising and ambulating patients; utilize correct body mechanics; maintain physical safety and comfort of patient under supervision of a RN/LPN.
