About the Role Outdoor Pursuits Trip Logistics Staff is the entry-level student position in Outdoor Pursuits at the University of Portland. The role supports planning and leading off-campus trips, focusing on logistics, safety and risk management, equipment reservations, meals, weather planning, mapping, transportation planning, and similar activities. This position reports directly to the Outdoor Pursuits Program Manager and serves as a stepping stone toward Assistant Trip Leader and Trip Leader roles. What You'll Do
- Work as part of a team to facilitate Outdoor Pursuits trips and programs
- Work at least three Outdoor Pursuits trips per semester
- Develop an understanding of risk, risk assessment, and risk management
- Shadow trips to learn paperwork, trip procedures, and technical outdoor skills
