About this role
About the Role As an Opto-Mechanical Engineer supporting Surgical Instrumentation Research & Development, you will contribute to engineering teams with research, data analysis, and system design in the ophthalmic opto-mechanical domain. This role focuses on connecting across mechanical, optical, and sensing subsystems to advance Diagnostic & Visualization surgical instrumentation. What You'll Do
- Apply in-depth knowledge of Opto-Mechanical Engineering across Mechanical Design, Opto-mechanics, Material Science, Precision Machining, Imaging, Illumination, Microscope and Optical Systems Design as a subject-matter expert.
- Perform opto-mechanical design including lens barrel and housing design, lens bonding and mounting techniques, and opto-mechanical analysis (thermal, environmental, shock & vibration, system integration, and stability tolerance).
