About the Role The Occupational Therapist I will provide 1:1 care in inpatient physical rehabilitation services at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. The role involves assessing and treating patients across developmental stages, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with the care team to promote optimal function and safe discharge. What You'll Do
- Provide 1:1 patient care in an inpatient rehab setting
- Assess and treat patients, evaluating upper extremity strength, range of motion, pain, sensation, coordination, activities of daily living, transfers, cognition, perception, visual skills, home management, and splint fabrication
- Establish treatment plans with goals and modalities to regain function, increase strength, and minimize pain
- Administer and instruct patients in all aspects of the treatment plan; monitor effectiveness and modify as needed
