Occupational Health and Safety Officer
About this role
An Occupational Health and Safety Officer is being sought to develop and deliver safety awareness campaigns and training programs, conduct safety inductions for employees, contractors, and visitors, perform routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments, investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare reports, monitor contractor compliance with health and safety standards, coordinate fire drills and ensure fire safety systems are functional, and promote employee wellness initiatives and emergency preparedness. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field, professional certification (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH) is an added advantage, and knowledge of local health and safety regulations.
