About the Role Under the direction of the Patient Care Unit Director, the Nurse Manager has 24 X 7 responsibility for operational leadership and management of the patient care unit. He/she is responsible for team and individual development, utilization of human, technical and material resources and quality improvement activities at the unit and organization level. The Nurse Manager assists the director in fiscal responsibilities. The Nurse Manager is responsible for supporting and assisting in the delivery of quality patient care and professional nursing practice.

- Oversees clinical nursing care, ensuring compliance with established standards of care and practice.
- Manages patient care and transitions across the continuum.
- Recruits, retains, nurtures, evaluates and develops staff.
- Manages departmental core processes.
