Job title: Network Administrator
About the Role Alpha Omega is seeking a Network Administrator to support Operations and Maintenance of NOAA Administrative LAN. The role is remote, with on-site availability in the DC area (Suitland, College Park, Silver Spring) for hardware refresh or failure. Some travel to Fairbanks, AK; Boulder, CO; Stennis, MS and Asheville, NC may be required, as the customer has migrated from On-Prem to AWS Cloud and Azure.
What You'll Do
- Design highly available networks in active/active mode; configure and manage BGP routing.
- Monitor networks using SSH and SNMP; create alerts and notifications.
- Maintain network documentation and schematics.
- Install, configure, and manage Fortinet firewalls, Cisco/Arista switches, Citrix NetScaler appliances, VPN Tunnels, Remote Access VPN, Site-to-Site VPNs.
- Leverage AWS Networking experience.
